a cure for what ails us on a global level

"Waste equals Food" by William Macdonough is the possible cure to our environmental, economic social & moral ills.  I recently saw a short documentary on Sundance & read the text content of his lectures online.  Designing for better than sustainability seems infinitely intelligent to me.
